i wonder if replacing the lights over the rear plate isn't the best idea tho, since i normally love to 'demo' my v8 300hp on the highway and illuminating my license plate might draw more attention to my demo..

I have a cunning plan. Make the lights so bright that the reflective surface does exactly that and make it almost impossible to view the lettering on the rego plate.
Now, senortetas, will you do yours first and let this forum know how you go?
Back on subject, I replaced my number plate lights (W5W white globes) with W5W blue globes and the effect is the same as LEDs albeit not as bright. Photos available on request - but I won't be putting the old ones back in for comparison photos though!

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
