The Lion engine family was developed and manufactured at Ford's Dagenham Diesel Centre for use in PSA Peugeot Citroën vehicles (as DT17 as part of joint venture begun in 1999), Jaguar Cars (as the AJD-V6), and Land Rover vehicles. The engines share the same bore/stroke ratio, with the V6 displacing 2.7L and the V8 displacing 3.6L. The V6 was launched in 2004 and as of 2011 also serves in Ford Australia's Territory SUV; the V8 in 2006. The V6 engine meets the Euro IV emissions standards. The 3.0L was added in 2009 and is based on the 2.7

Yes but that says specifically "Ford Bridgend currently makes 250,000 engines a year for Jaguar Land Rover which will end in 2018" which are the petrol V8s. Can't see anywhere saying the TDV8s will stop in 2018.

True, but I am sure I have read elsewhere ( in one of those paper devices ) that it is the complete relationship.
It doesn't make sense to outsource your engines, when you have just built a new facility near wolverhampton, and are about to expand that as well.Mark.

ISTR the SDV6 arrangement will end in 2020 ...JLR are supposedly looking at their options which may include buying the full design rights to build it at i5421 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Just to clarify i54 referred to by DG is the 239-acre (98 hectare) business park located at Junction 2 on the M54 Motorway on the boundary of South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
i54 benefits from Enterprise Zone Status and falls within the Black Country Enterprise Zone.
i54 is home to several global high-tech and advanced manufacturing companies including MOOG Aerospace, Eurofins Laboratories, International Security Printers (ISP) and of course JLR's advanced engine manufacturing facility.
