we'll see, I accept this might be optimism and conjecture mixed but I think there is a lot on here hoping I don't have to eat my words (which I will and sure others would have the good grace to if they are wrong )
I will be gutted (and stick with the FFRR, and superb but really not worth the money IMHO)

The thing is even if the tailgate does split, e.g. above the light so the glass and the bit of metal below the window lifts, the bottom section is going to be sooooo deep you will never get all the shopping bags out that have slid forwards to the rear of the seats.
The D3/4 is bad enough and even at my hight of 6ft with the suspension in normal hight its bad enough, the D5 boot looks like it might be a bit bigger so I hope they sell the car with a pole and hook as standard. 2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

I totally agree with your suicide statement....
What on the D3/4 is a classic piece of design....well executed, you can bet your your boots if it isn't thier it's because of a cost down, arrest survey of potential customers who haven't a clue about how good what we have right now....or just a marketing decision.
Sad Sad Sad.BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Tailgate aside (I'm still on the fence but praying) i like the proportions in those pictures. The lights look good too.
Maybe its the angle but I see no spare on this one, could be many reasons being a test car or do you think with the smaller engine variants it will be a repair pack to keep the weight down The small panel at the top of the low valence intreagues me. The tow cover will lower down and bigger so wonder what thats all about. emergency access to the automatic picnic bench thing for when it goes wrong? MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
