Went and viewed a 2005 'Pepsi dial' GMT II last night and now wondering....... It just doesn't have the 'solidity' of my current model or the tactile elements the newer watch carries. Even a mint 9 year old watch shows its signs of age in a 'looseness' that's hard to articulate.
What's the saying about not meeting your hero's
Feels like it would be same as paying £48,000 for a â€mint condition, regularly serviced and with all paperwork" '05 plate D3 when you've just seen the latest loaded D4 for £60,000.....

Andy
I had my T-Touch battery done at Timpsons (the key cutting peeps)
Pressure tested in the shop before (to check it was ok) then after.
I went for the "battery for life" so next time it needs changing .... it's free.
Ripponden...
nice quiet boozer....
the pie competition extravaganza I'm told is a busy affair.... dont know about the pies taken to be judged are accompanied with truck loads to be EATEN...it may be wise to ask
As regards the other food on sale there.....is reasonably good ....not that costly & they do have Pies on the menu..
If you cant get in there is another place just up the hill towards Elland (The Fleece) that also is good..not sure about pies but do serve Cumberland Sausage & Mash.BREXIT - done properly.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Rolex's.....the looseness - in the bracelet...cant be cured...its wear
but can be prevented.
You need to keep your watch clean....free from grit...you need to wash your watch with soapy water, soft brush & a good rinse at least every weekBREXIT - done properly.

Anyone on here have any British made watches, I believe there a a few good high end makers now?
I have an old Benson (Ludgate Hill).
By the way I beleive one of the origional founders of Rolex was British so he do have a good heritage.Club Narpy Torch

Graham push themselves as British with heritage, etc.
I quite like them as being a 'bit different' and am keeping a watch, no pun intended, on them. Don't like their huge oversized models with 'fire extinguisher' trigger on the side (similar to some U-Boat watches for size and trigger feature).
Like some of the lairy colour schemes they do but most have rubber straps and I have skin irritation issues with them (despite buying them now and again - anyone want an as new 'Hamilton' because of this very reason ).
Look like decent engineering integrity also and building a good history up
