Disco 4 commercial bumpers
Hi all
I've just found this forum and I'm in need of some advice .
We have just purchased a new d4 commercial .
The issues we have is that the front bumper has a horizontal coach line d4 spec
And the wheel arched and rear bumper look D3 spec with no molded coach line .
I've looked online at some D4 commercials and they all have coach lined bumpers front and rear with the coach line passing thought the bottom of the wheel arches
But ours does not . Has any one got any specs or expiriance over this issues
Regards
Ray

Welcome Ray!
Your question would be better with pictures of your vehicle showing the area of concern.

I though commercials came with d3 plastic arches and d3 rear plastic bumper .
Thought you had to spec colour coded parts ( except the front bumper which is painted )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Is it called an exterior pack to have them all painted same as the rest of the car? You would expect them all to be the same for the cost you pay.

The MY 14 brochure does not have an option for exterior pack
It only stats black plastic bumpers as standard . So we was going to get them painted ourselves . But as you can see they have supplied a painted front bumper ! And black plastic d3 rear and arches . So this contradicts there own spec???
The MY 15 brochure does have option for exterior pack
We placed order for car in June 2014 it came Jan 15
But if you look at the for sake site it show 14 plate car with core t bumper details and all the previous years before .
At the end of the day I don't mind putting my hand into paint . But they want £800 plus oaint plus fitting
To resolve issues £1700- £2000 plus vat :-0

You have had a couple of replies so far so I guess the question is did you actually specify and pay for the colour coded arches and bumper?
If you did then this needs resolving by your dealer.
If not, well you have a standard commercial.

I have no issues with the bumpers not being painted the issues is I purchased a D4 not a D4 with D3 fittings for £40k
If I had had the option I would have gladly orders the bumpers to be painted .

From the order system:
Quote:
Trim Pack Code: 032DE
Exterior Upgrade: Colour coded wheel arches, rear bumper and rear applique panel together with Oberon finish door handles
Max Rec Retail: £405.00
The extract above is from 2013. Only those ordered with the above pack will have the exterior trim. It is not standard on commercials so you will only see it on commercials that specifically ordered this level of trim.
The brochure does not define the trim levels, only the order sheet does that.
