Re callender, hmmm, not the birds I had in mind.
Re battery, changed my 5 year old LR one with one of these earlier in the rpyear and starter speed improved greatly. Plus the voltage reading on the IID or ciggie device was well over 1v lower so alternator isn't working as hard. Well pleased considering the price.
I think that's what it is going to be on mine. What voltage does yours read when you first connect it to gap tool ? Mine is always between 11.6 and 12v

Low 12vs ISTR, 12.3 to 12.5. Will look next time out. I use a ciggie volt guage and it showed a big change with new battery, ok not accurate but consistant inaccuracy so can guage improvement.
Done a hard reset and still no clock on dash Read code on battery it was made in Feb 09. Could the battery be stopping the update (although on the tool it said upload successful ) ?
Is it showing --:-- or nothing at all? You can check the software version loaded by going to "ECU Infos". Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Mark, stop what you are doing - stop right now.
If your battery is suspect or your voltage is low do not attempt to do any vehicle reprogramming. If a critical ECU fails you will have a large paperweight on your drive that will require further work.
Many of us do not do anything without an additional source of power connected or readily available - the ECUs are very intolerant of voltage variations.
Your vehicle is currently working. I also suspect that the update has been successful but the IPC is missing the clock message from the infotainment on the start-up sequence, but we will not explore anything until you have stable and reliable power.
Did I say stop enough?
