My SIA has always read "inactive"

Not that it's an issue, it always gets reset when the car is serviced anyway

England 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

This afternoon I tried to update the firmware on instrument pack ecu I followed the manual to the letter when it was done I turned key to off position waited for 3 mins turned it back on but nothing had changed no clock on dash ! What have I done wrong ? I chose the 2nd option in the manual for IPC my 07+ for pre my07 Thumbs Up

A hard reset will physically drain all the power from the ECU capacitors where the soft reset doesnt

Thanks I will try that in the morning. Will I have to go though the update procedure again for the instrument ECU as I did today or will it he cod up after a hard reset ?

Assuming you have flshed the correct one it should be COD. Just make sure your battery's charged. I've heard COD turning to --:-- because of low voktage

Ha ha thanks Mr DSL its the first thing I did when I realised it had not worked Thumbs Up
That's a thing Stephen my voltage is always around 11.9v to 12.1v even when it is connected via jump leads to my Galaxy could the battery be goosed ?

Just looking at service history it was replaced at a cost of £117 on 25/11/2010. I think it may need another. I will check it tomorrow. Thanks again Stephen Bow down sorry Mr T (its not Sunday yet Very Happy )
