All done. Was only the £25 transfer of ownership fee...just had a problem obtaining the unlock. Answer was to PM Pat. He did it his end then sent me the code. Worked a treat. Thanks Pat.

United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Cairns BlueDiscovery 3

Just purchased a new iid bt unit.
Got it activated and set to L319 D3
Uploaded firmware.

But doesn't reset service in the instrument pack. I have just serviced the car.
And configuring the CCF doesn't take effect
Trying to get 3 flash on indicators and no key in warning, but what ever I try both don't work,
Now is it the unit problem or car problem or more likely a me doing it wrong problem?
Many thanks for your help

Have you read the manual regarding 3 flash?
Also key alarm can't be disabled

yes just read through the GAP manual.
BCM needs reflashing,

so what about the key warning disable? why is it in there if you can't select it?

and why is the service indicator not resetting?

the manual doesn't say about 3 flashes, (i'm sure my D2 did this)

so why does the options show 3 flash and key disable?

surely a reprogramming tool should only have and show options it can affect?
not good first impression of this very expensive device

It’s not the device, it is Land Rover. The device gives you access to the config menus LR intended to be able to modify. The fact they can’t be modified is not down to the tool.

Hi all...
Just received my IIDTool_BT today and am not registering or setting it up until I read the online manual, I seem to recall a tutorial on this site, or am I mistaken?

May 27... found it!

My IID tool arrived today, purchased from another member. Transferred in minutes thanks to the speedy email response from GAP so I am ready to go! I am not really sure what I am going to with it now but at least I am ready for it!

This forum in the for sale section:

https://disco4.com/forum/fs-parts-vf85.html

There are second hand ones on there regularly (which is where I got mine) and new ones on a "sticky" post too. Keep in mind that if you buy a second hand one, you need to pay GAP £25 to transfer it to your vehicle as they are VIN locked. I ran through this process for the first time recently and it was quick and easy Thumbs Up

Greetings,
it's my turn to have trouble activating a IIDTool BT ... I can upgrade, I can connect but can not access the entire menu. When I try 'Faults' or'Car Config' tries to connect, it starts reading, then I get a bug and it takes me out of the software. I repeat, only problems with the 2. Sugestions ?

Hello all...
I can't seem to display any of the screen photos way back on the first pages, am I alone or is there a problem?

Probably the Photobucket issue when a lot of images were 'lost' because the site started charging for embedding them. Nowadays though, the IID manual is excellent and you should probably just start there?

Got my IID during the week and being honest it is quite easy to use. Hardest bit was getting it activated but all done know. Upgraded the tool firmware and so far managed to enable the 4x4 screen. I did have a few faults in there but these seem a while back going by the mileage on it. Deleted them and will check back to see if they come back. But now I have read I could of emailed myself them. We shall see how it goes or doesn’t. There is one thing I found though apparently one of the ecu needs an update reading the manual this seems like a thing that could cause a lot of issues so is it worth it ???

Thanks, photobucket I have never used...

I have the "IIDTool BT" but the Land Rover is out at my friend's shop 85 miles away. Am going out tomorrow to install the newly repaired radiator and will plug in the tool to get the access code, then come back here to register the thing and then activate and update the firmware, then back out there to clear any codes before starting it up (engine replacement after pistons and valves collided).
