Right guys, after reading this I am very confused as to what I have in voice commands.
I have a 2008 MY D3 SE, it has the LR sat nav, pti, and the voice command button on the left of the steering wheel.

Sorry to be soooo basic but what can I control by voice on my car.

Cheers

for you guys that have it do you really use it? I sort of like pushing a button rather than talking to myself. I could see using it for the first week or two but I would think the novelty would wear off.

Hi,

have you tried to talk NATURALLY? (The owner's guide specifies it). You must not talk specially loud or strange...

Maybe I'm specially lucky, but most times it works fine... (except sometimes when it rains loudly or the windows are open)...

Greetings

Have you tried saying "help", and then copying exactly any of the orders proposed? First try in a silent place (it's ok in the disco3, iddle engine). Speak towards the inner mirror (I think), but in a natural driving position...
You must not speak aloud, just natural...
Try different speeds (no tones). Speaking too much slow or fast makes it difficult...
Hope this will help you

I've stored a phone number last week. The lady in the dashboard reads your 'voice command' (ie the name with the number) back to you... I can imagine she misinterprets the voice commands sometimes, judging from the garbled readback I got!

You say for Navigation POI commands that you must prefix the command with 'Navigation POI'.

Do you say POI or Points of Interest?
