Aw that's so sad Mr. Bling. I really got a kick out of the unique things you've done to her. Good luck on the sale. I can't believe how much the taxes are it's so so wrong.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

The tax disc runs until Feb 2008, and she will have her 30,000 mile service done this week. This is a real bargain, as you can see, so no offers... I'm prepared to let the number plate go too, if you're interested, at a separately negotiated price.

I am correct in reading this that you are selling just because of the Road Tax charge Duncan

Hi John..... Don't do it!!! Running costs will be a lot lower if you stop spending money on Bling Also, the depreciation thing only happens IF YOU SELL.... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

You're jumping off on the steepest part of the ride and ALL usable daily-driver cars depreciate (this excludes exotics/classics). It may lose another 4-5 grand in the next year, but so will anything else you buy. You could pick up a 12 month old Mondeo for £12k and see that work £6-7k in a year.
Mind you, if you want to really weep, look at the price of used 2003/04 Touareg V6 Petrols. Bargain!I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

depreciation hits everything.
I had a mondeo ST220 estate fully loaded, £26K from new, 60K miles and 18months later the lease company sold it for £9K. it was immaculate.
If I had know Id have bought it myself !!!Duncan

Depreciation is a lot worse than I expected on the D3, I have been offered an HSE (05 55) for £27k and that's dealer price. You have taken much of the hit now, if I were you I would sit tight, as others have said whatever else you buy will depreciate so you are starting all over again.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
