I keep trying to be as optimistic as I can, even willing to give a go to loosing the split tailgate but why on earth aren't there 3 fullsize seats in the middle row?
If it isn't a fullsize seat then you aren't going to be able to get 3 kids seats across is, be those full infant seats or just boosters, and if you can't get 3 kids along it then how are you going to be doing long drives with 3 adults there?
Also looking at the fancy folding arrangement of those rear seats (ignoring the app controlled folding) I suspect there's going to be a loss of storage space underneath them.

Agree scarab
I wasn't expecting fully automated seat folding let alone via an app. How many of us lift the rear seats to find an inch of sand, mud, dog hair and cr@p under them. Will automated seats like that? I have a load barrier in and partition I use the 7 seats twice a month tops. This was not on my list for Landrover to invest R&D in. But guess I'm not the customer Landrover wants MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

As it states in the video power seat fold is optional, if you have concerns with it don't spec it
Perhaps cars without it will have the current Discos 2nd row 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

They may had to have reduced the size of the centre seat to account for the electric gizmos.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
