Harrogate today and tomorrow. |
|
Went to Harrogate today, saw a few D3's , one (Bonnatti grey) this morning on the M60, got pretty close behind, may have been reading my sticker?
Saw one in Harrogate parked outside a cycle shop, Black and sign written with the cycle shops name in orange - looked pretty eye catching!
Only event to report is the average MPG went up from 22.6 to 22.8 by the end of the day. There is 4000 miles of data in my average, so to get up by .2mpg must mean I have driven very economically today Maybe its time to reset the average?

I always reset for every trip I do... maybe that's why I get an average of 30 plus MPG ?
Most of my trips are 300 miles or thereabouts.
Today I drove from Shropshire to Uxbridge... parked my car... then drove to Ealing and parked my car... then back to Uxbridge to meet Slimer for beers
Exciting eh ?

went in for a spot of lunch to the urban delight that is Tunbridge Wells and when I got back neatly ( by angry of no doubt) written in the muck on the rear door was " you don't understand". Ok I have a Bo**cks to Blair" and a "ban the ban" sticker in the back , but what don't I "understand"? Is there a new clan or roving philosophers Alive and kicking..who's round is it anyway ??

Today, I drove all the way to Lilleshall in Shropshire, and back again. Notable thing today was the number of other Discovery 3's on the M6. Saw loads - all with perma-grin afflicted drivers!
One that sticks in the mind was a Silver example heading northbound with a SUPERCHARGED badge under the TDV6 8)
I parked up in Stafford services northbound for lunch, there was a very clean green example parked next to me when I came out. (mine is really filthy mucky at the moment) put me to shame it did!
Nearly 38k miles now, and getting better by the day. Might have to get the dealer to look at my drivers seat though, its got a large gap on the right hand side of the squab at the back, and it is ever so slightly loose in its mounting. I sometimes feel it move a bit if I go from hard brakes to hard acceleration. It is creaking also.
An Interesting point, in the gap at the back of the seat base, there is a sticker on the black metal bar that is now visible that says "Modified Height Adjusment"

Tomorrow, I am driving to Northumberland, and back again, so it will be even cruddier! The roads are very dirty at the moment, there has been no rain to wash the salt away.
