New compressor and reservoir fitted. Hopefully the protection will make the tank last many years.

New mot
19 years old 146k and only 3 advisories.
2 rear tyres down to 2.1mm
Rear break discs when pads are changed- a few more miles yet.
Rear lower suspension arms showing heavy rust - job for the spring.
I can live with these.

Yesterday and today was spent changing the rear discs and pads with Brembo kit and the parking brake shoes with Apec kit, then front Brembo pads (the warning light was on for the front-oops!)
I haven't completed the EPB bedding in procedure yet, as started to do it then had the screeching noise so abandoned it for now, plus the empty/quiet road in the industrial estate suddenly became busy with wagons parking up for the night.
I'm also having 2 x new Falken AT3W tyres fitted to the rear to compliment the front 2 fitted last month.Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales

Had lucky escape.
Noticed a metallic sound from the front of the engine yesterday and found the auxiliary belt tensioner was wobbly, fetch a replacement and fitted this morning - just in time I think looking at the pictures.

Replaced the right hand side bonnet latch. Would have replaced the left hand side one, too, but one of the torx screws on that side was so messed up and rusted/tight that the screw head broke because procurement had 20 years ago bought weak metal. FFS.

New discs, calipers, carriers and pads on the front. I think somebody had put red lock time on the caliper retaining bolts. Heat, and a big chisel and hammer, broke the heads off. Then had to learn to sharpen drill bits to get them out 🤣. Overall very happy as I'm new to vehicle maintenance.
