Hello,
I discussed with Pat and he said that the calibrate routine is simply the tool instructing the ACC radar to calibrate. From the debug logs I took - this works so it is a problem between the ACC ECU and the engine ECU (most likely).
I cannot upgrade my engine ECU further looking at the IID report.
I have one more "idea" which is being looked at with another member but after that all I can see if someone is "really keen" to have it, is 2015-2016 ECU pack (engine ECU/BCM/dash + key thing plus others like ABS/TCCM possibly) from eBay then the added hassle that comes with swapping it out. Not an option for me in my current car In today's world, if you contribute something, you don't contribute enough. If you contribute nothing, you receive everything.

This seems a bit weird -- it looks like LR038618 is the part # for the ECU for both 2014 and 2015 ECUs.... (In which case you'd think the code is either there is isn't there... or that you could flash the appropriate file to the hardware, since the hardware should be the same)...

Yes I would do as suggested. Change the CCF back to remove the ACC (and remove the fuse) and see if everything works ok. You should leave the new switchpack in place to see how it goes. If still getting issues then change back to the original switchpack and see what you get.
It took me some time to get around to this but I did as suggested and removed the fuses, reverted the CCF and was able to use cruise as normal. No visible errors but the fault with the left hand switch packs kept coming back each time I cleared it.
Today I fitted a replacement ACC switch pack (bought from LR again as it was too much bother to get them to diagnose the problem) replaced the fuses and reset the CCF and it all seems to work. Faults are gone for now and ACC works
However… the horn doesn’t work on the new switch! FFS…… Could this be something I could fix myself?

Ahh great! That will be the problem then as I also put a different right hand switch pack in at the same time. I will swap that one back.

Switched the right-hand switch pack back to my existing one and all is good now. Must have been a mismatch as suggested by Famousfive. Thanks again!

Right, it's finally my turn to have a crack at this. FPLA sensor arrived today, hopefully switchgear tomorrow. Just weighing up whether to go for the original bracket or to bodge it?-------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the bracket is useful - I moved position of it to be front of radiator for a test rig (it worked) - pics below

OK, thanks, interesting. My sensor came with the bracket off the donor car but not the genuine bracket for the D4 which was what I was talking about. I have actually bought the bracket LR062475 as i have a fetish for originality and I'm expecting the cable to be fitted ready and waiting for me when I remove the bumper!! That's the plan anyway, we'll see how it turns out! -------------------------------------------------------------------

I cut down the original bracket and used that as I decided that for 20 mins work it would save me a £100 or so! Its not seen when the bumper is on and since fitting it last year it has been problem free! It not bodged and still gives you all the adjustments that the proper one would!

Sorry, I was being a bit mischievious when I wrote 'bodge' as I knew you and others had used that bracket. I just don't get much time so I'd rather just know I've got parts I can just bolt on and go, but you're right, for the sake of the £120 I just spent, i could have very reasonably cut down the bracket i have. As long as my wife doesn't find out it'll be fine. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I did swither for ages when deciding whether to get the proper bracket or not! In the end I decided that I would have a go with the original one and if it didn`t work out then I would get the proper one! As it turned out the original one has been fine and the £100 saved went on other stuff!

I fitted my switch pack the other night with no issue. Airbag popped back on no problem.
Not driven it so no idea if the cruise still works though.
To complete it I am just waiting on a radar unit and the correctly coloured cables, connectors and convoluted tubing needed to make up the new loom.
Has anyone else taken their bumper off and found no cable?
Did so today and found no cable on my 2014 model.
Is there a solution working in my case??

Not yet no. I wonder if the pre MY15s need an updated dash that contains the green ACC icon?
