Should the IIDTool be able to 'see' the ACC ECU straight away? I've fitted my radar and run the ECU info routine but nothing comes up? Is my radar faulty? I haven't done any Configuring yet...-------------------------------------------------------------------

did you search for the ECU first?
1. IIDTool Config - Find ECU's
2. ECU info then appears which you send to Pat for flash
3. Then calibrate

Brilliant service from Pat. All installed/ flashed and appears to be calibrated as the blinking orange light has stopped blinking! But the cruise isn't working yet so I'll have to play with the CCF a bit more!-------------------------------------------------------------------

Mmm, I'm having problems. Everything seems to have gone to plan but cruise doesn't work at all. I've checked and double checked the CCF options but no joy. I'll have to keep fiddling with the CCF I guess unless anyone has any ideas?
I've been sent a really comprehensive guide by Pat and sent him screenshots of my CCF but there's nothing obviously out...-------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you give us a quick list of what you have done to arrive at the point you are at now?

Sure, so my car is a late 2014 build MY15. The radar cable was all installed so that bit was easy.
CCF edits so far: I've tried adaptive stop and go and Speed Control but neither setting works. I have also enabled both Collision Mitigation (enabled and Gen1 system) options as per RATA1 post earlier about MY15 CCF.
Any thoughts?

The orange light blinked continuously, then stopped blinking after about 5 miles. No confirmation message or anything? It's probably worth trying to re-calibrate.
Yesterday I took it for a drive and could activate Forward Alert in the settings menu then I made another CCF edit and now the FA setting won't stay selected, oh, and the digital speed display has disappeared. To be honest, I'm getting into the realm of making changes for changes' sake and I haven't been very methodical <facepalm>-------------------------------------------------------------------

I would undo all your ccf changes and see if you can get the normal cruise back and then try again from the start. What was the part number of the acc switchpack you used? Keep a note of what you ccf changes so that you can go back to an original setting if a change makes stuff stop working. 5 miles was very quick to calibrate. Took me about 50 miles or so over a number of days to complete. Car needs to be locked and left for 30 mins or so for everything to go to sleep for the changes to take place after calibration. Good luck!

OK, thanks, that makes sense. Radar was an FPLA model and flashed OK as far as I can tell. I'll try to run the calibration again. Do you get a confirmation message at the end normally or does the light just stop flashing?-------------------------------------------------------------------

No message, just the light changing from flashing to ready, although there was a calibration successful message shown on the gap tool when trying the calibration routine . this was before I knew that i needed to have the radar unit reflashed. The success message was an error as it had not worked. Sorry I meant what was the part number of the steering wheel switchpack you used? You must be pretty close to success if you had the forward alert working with the the green symbol on the dash!

The switch pack was LR062416 FH22-13D767-AA-1 - the matte version. I did have some faults pop up with it before I fitted the radar and updated the CCF but the cruise worked and all the buttons and the horn worked so I assumed it was all good. I've had another general electrical failure pop up with it again but I've been fiddling with the CCF so will discount it unless it's consistent. I got it off a well known auction site so it's not returnable...-------------------------------------------------------------------

The car can start to throw up random error messages if there has been a lot of ccf changes in a short space of time but it should settle down after a period of time.
