also the other seller nicely shows pin / connector area which clearly shows no damage at all which is more reassuring as well

Whatever one you go for try and get the metal adjustment bracket with it as you have to align the radar before carrying out the calibration routine and the bracket has adjustable mounting pins a bit like headlamp adjusters for that purpose. If not then that's another thing that you would need to buy.

correct I got LR bracket and although a bit pricey i found no need to level the radar just a tiny bit of vertical adjustment was needed but worth it so much less of the faff like with other ones
and it looks "factory"

Was just wondering whether ACC turns on brake lights when slowing down for the car in front ?
If not might be pretty tricky in situations when someone in front brakes by say 30 mph ...
Anyone knows ?

I can't give you a definitive answer but since HDC triggers the brake lights I'd be amazed if ACC didn't.

NOTES
When braking is applied by ACC, the vehicle's brake lamps will illuminate.

So spent Monday adding in all the hardware to upgrade mine to ACC. All went ok. Taking the airbag off was a bit scary but got there in the end. Updated the ECU, thanks to Patrick at Gap Diagnostics for the support. Great service.
Sadly it looks like the LH switch pack is faulty! I have two warnings
B137F-49 (2F) Steering wheel - Left switchpack - System internal failure - internal electronic failure
And
U0423-81 (AF) Invalid data received from signal/message failure - invalid data received.
Does the second one look like I may have missed a setting on the GAP tool perhaps?
Gap tells us the following but I can't find Speed Control or Forward collision warning.
Discovery 4/LR4 L319 2015-2016*
Install the correct parts (radar, switches) taken from a vehicle of the same model year and platform.
2015+, the Car Configuration File needs to be changed accordingly. Menu–Car Config–Complete list, use the search box*;
Speed Control: Adaptive Fitted
Standard speed control display type: Adaptive speed control full display plus priority messages
Speed control: ACC
Speed control: Adaptive speed control, stop and go
Forward collision warning: Forward collision warning GEN 1

I have done as some suggested and it worked firts time:
1/Speed control=Adaptive Speed control
2/Adaptive speed control ecu=Uk/rest of world
3/Adaptive speed control ecu =standard blockage level-40db
4/standard speed control display type= adaptive speed control full display plus priority messages
5/speed control =adaptive speed control
6/adaptive speed control indication in instrument cluster=enabled
7/speed control=adaptive speed control stop and go (this setting worked on mine)
8/forward collision warning =forward collision warning gen 1.
using search box helps as some setting are doubled in different sections
good luck

Thank you. I couldn't see more than a couple of these, I must be doing something wrong. Do you do this from the phone app or do I need to use a laptop?
