That's not unusual . Many ask for a driver lic. and even require an insurance liability
( first $1750 of damage you cause during drive; accompanied or not ) to be
signed - LR , BMW , Lexus , spring to mind. Others don't bother with anything
whatsoever !

I don't expect to get in the car without signing anything, but at least let me inspect it without them in it! They continually talk so you cant listen for anything unusual and so I always say thanks but no thanks. Thumbs Up

G'day
I had a bit of a "clunk" in the front end when putting power on and off at low speed so took it to The official mob near Newcastle. The diagnosis I got was "excess play in the diff- you need a new diff @ $2500 + labour". Something didn't feel right so got a second opinion from All4x4. Within minutes I was shown "the worst control arm bush we've ever seen", so a new set of lower control arms and she drives like new Very Happy
I'm absolutely disgusted with LR and can only imagine the death and destruction that would have been wreaked had I been stiffed for a new diff and still had the same problem Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
All4x4 get all my work now

Cheers

The aforementioned clunk turned into mighty hammering on the corrugations pulling a 2.5 tonne van to the cape via the bypass roads. Back in Melbourne; rapid confirmation of diagnosis at Melbourne Land Rover and the plasticine arms and bushes replaced with steel at service at manageable cost. Happy chappy, 135k and sweet as new.
Intercooler hose replaced in Cairns by Trinity who were also rapid, accurate and at reasonable cost. LR assist went out of their way to be helpful.

Chimpy,
Clunk from front end should be obvious as bushes. Rolling Eyes
Who are the 'official mob near' Newcastle? I know Alto pulled out. Do they just do service.

It was Hunter Land Rover. I can't praise the guys at All4x4 enough. They are quite passionate about LR's and even in just customer service they put Hunter to shame

Cheers
