Yes I did hear of that site and yes, SWMBO did photo the parking, but if I ask her to send me it, she’s bound to ask me why. Whistle

In about 3 weeks, so half-term + 2 weeks going off ALL the major increases during the pandemic.

I'm "boostered" and still wear a mask whenever I'm in any doubt over my personal safety.

and gawd help any fookwit that dares challenge me.

Now when Barbara and I got the first 2 COVID vaccine jabs it was extremely straightforward. Local GP contacted us and we went together into the room answer the questions and was in and out in a few minutes.

Now who is actually running the booster injection campaign? Is it a Tory donor by any chance charging the U.K. taxpayer a fortune? Getting a booster injection appointment was hard work and we have to travel much further than our local GP. Personally comparing our COVID vaccinations to booster programme one was extremely efficient, the other a fiasco.. NHS via ???

Well what a difference up here north of the border. Covid and flu jab administered last Saturday , in and out in 10 minutes. Everything well organised and it ran like clockwork! Let’s hope that this is the last until next winter.

In central belt, yes. In NHS Highlands it’s a completely different picture. No central booking, no big vacation centres, no booking by phone, just “don’t call us, we’ll call you” approach. Also most GPs have opted out of doing the covid booster jabs. For drop in clinics there was just one pretty small centre operating in Inverness and we luckily managed to get it done there. It’s not well publicised and SWMBO just stumbled on the details by chance. We live 35 miles away but were in Edinburgh at the time, killed out onward travel plans and legged it up there. Luckily we did as that option is now gone for non healthcare workers.

You have got to wonder at the different approach the NHS use. Here we got letters giving us date, time and place to get the booster and flu jab. At least 8 stations operating and plenty of staff on hand. Sit down area if you felt a bit woozy. Pfizer was on offer and administered by a large ex army lady. No messing about. As I said went like clockwork. Only problem was stiff arm re the Covid side now gone. Strange

Hermes Evil or Very Mad

Courier thinks it’s acceptable to leave a parcel in the food/garden waste bin and not leave any calling card or text to say a parcel has been delivered.

Mother bragging about their Uni freshers children. All the below not even 6 weeks in.

One who’s spouting that as soon as you start a medical degree, you’re a Doctor and will be referred to as such! Never heard anyone get Doctor so many times in a sentence, even the flatmates are all Doctors too.

Another, who’s child is now a Nurse and will be doing bank shifts soon. Must be the quickest qualified in the UK, hasn’t even bee out on a placement. Minor detail.

Finally, one child who hasn’t even been on a teaching practice, but won’t be teaching in state schools, thank you very much. Nothing so common.

Unbelievable, the female equivalent of swinging a private appendage. It must be a sign of the company I keep! I just walk away in mid sentence now. I understand they must be proud of their kids, but there’s a limit to how much BS I can listen to in one morning. Rolling Eyes

Cv19 Booster Booking. I'll be eligible in a couple of weeks (6 months post last jab) so wanted to get a date in the diary and plan my work around it.

Oh no. I have to wait until I am eligible before I can book. Not book for when I'm eligible. So reality is I'll be anything from a few days to a few weeks post eligibility when I get the booster.

Do they get pre-teens to code this stuff? FCensoredg idiots
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for me dropping cardboard in the wrong bin, could’ve dropped a whole lot worse in mind.
