Last night, phone call from SWMBO, end of her shift, someone had blocked her car in by parking in front of her at the hospital car park. She couldn’t get out.
She waited an hour, no one came back to it then phoned me. I drove in, took me half an hour. I was just going to take her home and leave the car, but decided to give it a go. Then with her directing, and manoeuvring, inch by inch, I eventually got the car out. At its tightest point, there was half and inch each side, not made easy as I had to get out at an angle.
What do you do? No point contacting the Police, I am sure they have better things to do. The hospital security wouldn’t be able to do anything. I’d love to pull the offending car out with the Disco, but that’s asking for trouble. It’s really frustrating, particularly at the end of a 12 hours shift, one in which she was out the door at 6.30am and eventually got home at just before 10pm.

I’d be tempted to dump the air out of one of its tyres. Then the next, and the next, and the last one. Tyres wouldn’t be damaged, well not by you anyway.

I wish, knowing my luck I’d be caught.
Usually you get to know the staff cars, it didn’t appear to be one of them, so a patient or more probably at that time of night, someone visiting.
Thing is the day is long and stressful enough without that and then by the time we’d got home, put the tea in the microwave, you’re eating when you shouldn’t be.
Some hospitals have separate car parks for staff, but most don’t and that’s the problem. When Joe Public wants to park, anything goes.

Inconsiderate parkers deserve all they get.
A few years back whilst doing the Motor Show in Paris, an inconsiderate haulier dropped off his trailer blocking in several of the trucks of the company I was working for.
I hooked up the offending trailer and took it out to the main road and dropped it across a pedestrian crossing.
Don't know what the outcome was, but would hazard a guess a 1,000 Euros was involved.

Ought to be a rule that any vehicle parked illegally (up on kerbs, ignoring lane markings etc.) are not covered by insurance. Anyone moving said vehicle does so at his or her own risk, but e/she would not be responsible for any damage caused during the process.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

Parking across pavements is a massive bug bearer of mine. Also setting up of temporary works signs put up in the middle of a small footpath. I work in the utilities and come across both almost every day, mostly from workers that do the same everyday. My mind boggles?2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

Did that to an inconsiderate parker in Australia. Only I didn't just let the air out, I removed the valves as well. He had the get RACQ to come and rescue him.2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8

I'm putting the general public up for goat nomination.
Had my first face-to-face client meeting in a while yesterday, up in Bracknell. Meeting went well, offices and staff very rigid in their covid rules, meeting achieved what was needed, so tick.
As I had factored in plenty of slack in my journey time I stopped at fleet services to grab a coffee. I reckon about 1/4 were wearing masks. Hmmm.
After the meeting I was meeting up with a friend's daughter in Reading - family are overseas, our place is her UK "home" and as it's her first few days alone after her dad flew 8000 miles home I'd promised to check in with her. I was early for our dinner meet up so ambled into the Oracle on my way through town to meet her.
I may as well have had three heads, the smirks and sniggers that came my way. In the whole shopping centre I saw maybe a dozen masks worn? And one of those was my reflection in the shop windows. I even had a "what you scared of mate, hurr hurr" from some feral yoof with his Primark joggers halfway down his buttcrack.
Is it time for the cull yet?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Remote possibility, I know, but might someone had abandoned the car there in desperation on their way to visit a dying relative?

Went to a horse sale last weekend: despite reminders of Welsh rules by the auctioneers over the PA and a free supply of masks being handed out, a not insignificant minority declined to wear masks. Those that did tended not to have their nose covered.

If that fails, can we engineer an unnatural one?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Unlikely, it was reversed in and the spot she is in was an out of the way corner, away from A&E and the main entrance. They’d have had to have passed vacant disabled bays, a small bus station, maternity parking and electric car bays.
