Me being rather silly.
Painting some metal work. Rattle can run out so decided to use a different brand of paint!
Guess what? Yes you are right the two brands of paint not compatible. Only did one component so case of strip it back and start again.
Can blame nobody else but myself!

Am looking for a D4 commercial. Now as far as I am aware for the D4 commercial to be VAT qualifying they should be as come from the factory, i.e. with 2 front seats.
Now I have lost count how many D4 commercials adverts I have seen that have been converted and then you get the statement
Quote:
A rare Commercial Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 SE with rear seat conversion. Destined to be a company purchase as the vehicle is vat qualifying
To the best of my knowledge it is not VAT qualifying and the seat conversions I have seen have been done to a low standard. People diddling HMRC!
Not today but yesterday: the old chap in a Honda Jazz who nodded off during the course of a top-of-the-range (i.e., lengthy) car-wash and who seemed quite piqued to be rudely awoken by the horn on my daughter's car, 'pipped' by the aforesaid eighteen year-old whilst I got out to prove to myself that he was, in fact, dead as I suspected.

I seem to remember that if the rear seats are foldable / temporary and suitable for short journeys then VAT can still be reclaimed including on installation of these seats. The Atlantech website explains it better.

builder SWMBO tells me that our new washing machine wont spin and drain. This is all brand new and was fitted during our kitchen re fit.
Take off kick board to access drain and check filter - all clear as you would expect of a new machine. Must be faulty says SWMBO. I will get onto supplier tomorrow.
Just as a thought I check the drain hose connector........................words fail me

found one just the same a few years ago ... a friend had bought a house on the basis it was a quick deal following her divorce. previous owner had done a "quick" ( i.e. carp ) makeover to sell it.
once i'd fixed that for her, it still wasn't quite right ... external drain didn't go anywhere. short underground pipe into a block of concrete.
put a mirror up for her too ... took about 12 screw holes until i'd got 4 good enough to support the mirror.

Noticing more and more of them. How do you not notice if you cannot see your instruments at night, unless of course the instrument lights stay on all the time. On the Skoda i drove , instrument lights stay off until lamps operated - don't know about other cars.

My foot is getting on my nerves. Few season out of rugby, new city, new team, did all of pre-season and had my second game last week. Boot came off in a tackle, carried on made a good break and popped off the ball. Walking back to get my boot (on our 22m line) big calls coming and they had turned us over on their try line, huge boot over, so ran with 1 boot on, again attacked well then went to sidestep with 1 boot, planted the booted foot and went to spring of the bootless foot, sock stayed still foot slid inside sock and overturned. Been nearly a week now and swollen like a bi***! So week or 2 off but still struggling to walk Excuse the foot pictures!! Got proper "fat foot" I'm a skinny winger so normally have nice fairy ankles!
