I think that's quite funny and well thought out. Get's the message across - don't park in disabled spots if you're not a valid user of said spots.

The BBC’s director general Tim Davie said he can’t see Huw Edwards working at the corporation again.

“This man has just been convicted of appalling crimes and it’s pretty straightforward in my mind, I can’t see him working here again,” he told BBC presenter Amol Rajan, at the Royal Television Society London Convention.

Mr Davie said "for obvious reasons," the former presenter was unlikely to come back to the organisation.

What does he mean "unlikely" ???

First he skips jail for unfathomable reasons, doesn't pay back £200K in wages he knew he wasn't entitled to, now isn't 100% ruled out for going back to work.

Twitter is alive with the idea he's not the biggest name that's going to fall over this ... just light on ideas of who it will be.

Insurance.....new bike arriving.

We cant offer you a multi bike policy unless you have a registration number. Well what happens if don't insure it. We haven't had that problem before. Roll on a week, bike bought and paid for. Now registered. Here you go with the number plate......yep sorry we don't insure that bike

Ordered wine for family member’s birthday and it eventually got delivered at 9pm last night. It should have been delivered Friday. Still at least it got there, unlike prev orders where the boxes mysteriously dropped off the system, hope whoever ended up with them appreciated me not automatically selecting the cheapest option. Ordered a 3D printer and on the DPD app watched the van progressing my way. When I got the delivery notification I rushed outside - no parcel. The DPD tracking page had a picture of somebody else's front door. DPD told me that the house name of the delivery address was not that of my house but GDPR prevented them from telling me that name. The company from which I had bought the printer had put the wrong address (presumably from a drop-down list of houses in our postcode).

Amazon status on my LED fixing kit went from "out for delivery" to "there is an issue".

It turned up 2 days later with box torn down the side and parcel tape wound round one end in bad fashion.

Yep, the metre long tracks and diffusers were still there but no sign of end caps, joints, fixing clips etc.

Company supplying it are fine about sending replacements, but it won't now get fitted until about a week after I promised SWMBO 😞

Well, I managed to get my parcel. There aren't many houses in the postcode so I sent my drone out to look at each house (keeping line-of-sight at all times [cough]). Spotted it, retrieved it... Thumbs Up

I hope you didn't make my mistake and 'phone DHL's helpline number when the package didn't arrive. They were very helpful...nice German lady who went the extra mile to do additional checks while I was on hold and eventually managed to track it down and get it properly directed... It was only after I came off the phone that I discovered the cost of having a 20min call to their premium-rate line to Germany! Shocked

And for a change, a good news story. The Visas and Immigration Dept were quoting 12 weeks to process a Spousal Visa.

It took 3 weeks. I don’t know what conclusions you can draw, but that was a lot faster than expected. Wink

Hello all - apologies, a goat up, vent coming up.

We had a couple of days in Florida before joining a cruise and I cannot believe how difficult it is to find healthy food. Everything is full of sugar & salt, unhealthy snack foods are cheap and often have BOGOF offers. There is virtually no fruit of vegetables available. Then to top it off, the amount of single ingredients use plastics is just unbelievable. If cannot remember the US being that bad but my last visit was some 22 years ago in Vermont/New Hampshire.

Then on the cruise where my eyes are truly opened and goat got by the sheer gluttony of some people and the huge amount of good waste.

Of course, I am speaking from a hypocritical position by being on a cruise ship and the amount of pollution they contribute to the world!
 Cheers,

Jez
