"Would you like to hear about the auld empty barn?"

"There was nothing in it !!"

Just hope that politicians from ALL sides pull together to enable the UK to get the best deal from the EU.
A referendum was held, the majority voted to leave and yet even now at the point of no going back, politicians are still bickering on the fact that we're leaving!
On the 90 minute Question Time on Monday; Clegg, Salmond, Stammer were still at it, going over the same old ground!
Clegg was still at it this morning on Breakfast, Ashdown is at it now in Daily Politics!
We are where we are, whether they agree with it or not...... get over it and as opposed to being negative they should be channeling their efforts into working positively for the benefit of all the UK!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

That will be Lord Ashdown aka Paddy Pantsdown. aside from the adultery, the mans a total joke, a walking example of an arrogant, selfish, egocentric megalomaniac. How the Hell we give him air time and a seat in the Lords is totally beyond me.

Well said Riccardo, and let us hope that there can be a quick and amicable agreement on the rights of EU citizens here, and UK citizens in the EU.

Well said indeed.
We also need competent and capable people, not politicians , talking to other countries right now about trade deals etc. Not leaving it till we are officially out.

For Christ sake, in this day and age, could we not have sent them an email? Even my Solicitor accepts that.
If you want a hard copy, print it off or if you must, send Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Even if you argue there's a pagentary to it, how about a televised conference call?
Do we really need the expense on a hand delivered letter?

Let me think, oh I know, the White Cliffs of Dover with Spitfires flying east and a British Bulldog looking out to sea.
There was something said on the news that the official EU negotiators have said there are difficult discussions and negotiations ahead - surely that is only true if they decide to make it difficult?
A bit like union negotiations between employers and employees, I can never work out how it can take days/weeks and even years to work it out. 1/2 hour should be enough Mark.

Go on the premise that Europe needs us more than we need them tbh. I can think of quite a few lame duck member states and only one or two who's economies can match ours.
