I believe that today is a sad and unhappy day for all, I believe it because I think that the respectable decision of the British people was solely due to economic and free trade issues and with these reasons today all of them should be sad also when separating from the rest of Europe After many years of coexistence and shared interests, I understand that they would only feel happy if the background of the vote had been different, if it had been the fascist, xenophobic and anti-European vote, only with that belief would there be real reasons to be happy, the real reasons Most would soon be in sight and if this were so then the UK would have a serious problem and sincerely hope not .... and it is a sad day because I am fully convinced that a good agreement is simply impossible and the end Of this story is going to be frustrating and a gigantic step back. I think Europe will never be the same again without the UK.
Good luck for everybodylost in translation!

A news report on RTE in Ireland now says that the UK "accepts that there will not be a trade agreement with the EU post Brexit, and that with the exception of the Republic of Ireland, there will not be a customs union either".
In other words, everything heading towards the UK from the EU, may have to enter via the Republic of Ireland and across the Border into Northern Ireland to escape extra taxes. Now this would be brilliant for Ireland's economy.......!! They would have to invest even more into the road/rail networks though, to cope with the demand....
They could ship every new EU destined LR via here too, except they will probably switch to reality and produce all the EU LHD models in the new Slovakian plant....2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Well I've just watched the Andrew Neil program on BBC1. I can't say I learnt anything at all by listening to TM. She's going to get the best deal possible, believes that it can be done in time and everything is going to be great. So same old story.
I'm actually starting to lean towards Tim Farrons view, that we should see what deal has been agreed and then vote if we want to take it or remain with what we had. I'm not sure that's actually possible without the consent of the 27 other member states, it's certainly not that practical.
Perhaps I should have more faith in the abilities of TM, David Davis et al to be brilliant negotiators. Time will tell if my scepticism was right or not. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I think it was. Many of them, senior EU figures, still could not/would not believe that we would actually do it. They are genuinely mystified that any member state would wish to leave. That's why they completely ignored Cameron's attempts to get some reform under the threat of a referendum. It never, ever, entered their heads that we would actually leave.
You'll have noted recent comments from Brussels/Junckers that they hope one day we'll return.Arthur.

Are those the new sized Union Jacks for Little Britain?
They are Union Flags actually and of a perfectly normal size to me.
With respect to the events of today, I think it is suddenly dawning on a lot of bureaucrats that they haven't frightened us into submission and this will hurt them just as much as us if they start trying to punish the UK. The UK was always the thorn in the side of the EU holding it back, it can now get on with its project and have a friendly trading partner and ally close by if it wants it, this doesn't have to be a zero sum game.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

No doubt the Irish theme will be complicated and difficult because of the special relationship you have with the UK....no doubt but what you point out regarding British exports through Ireland, I honestly do not think that negotiation and agreement is in the hands of the Irish, all negotiation is a matter for the EU, and the EU will have something to say and I find it difficult to accept such a blunt hemorrhage through a false door in Ireland....allow me to express all my doubts about that particular!!lost in translation!

I am not optimistic, these people ( our politicians) will not consent that you can to be an example for others who are hot and those from there ( yours politicians) can not afford an agreement that makes things worse than when you were inside ... that is, an agreement that satisfies both sides it is not possible...we will see who is willing to face his public opinion and his electorate and in that the UK loses because it is a single government that has to be reelected and the EU are 27, fault more divided.....lost in translation!
