If there’s going to be another referendum, what should the question be?
Option 1 - Do you agree with the government's negotiated deal for a soft Brexit?
If the vote is majority “no”, presumably the conclusion would be a hard Brexit.
Option 2 - Do you wish to leave the EU under the government's negotiated deal or stay in the EU.
If the vote is to stay, then would the EU allow us to say “we have changed our minds” at this late stage.
In my view, the question has to have only two options. Three options, Soft Brexit, Hard Brexit or stay would only end up with an inconclusive vote in my opinion.
How else could the referendum question be phrased?

When I see discussion on a potential second referendum I see people referring to what you consider option 2
I think EU already said that process can be stopped
Still I think that as Highlands said before if there is such a vote the potential of the UK government to negotiate any deal would become 0 as EU would offer nothing at all It takes all sorts (to make a world).

LT wrote:The North East is following Wales and waking up to reality:
The North East is no longer backing Brexit, according to a new opinion poll.
The region that voted overwhelmingly for Brexit in 2016 is split 50/50 on whether to leave or stay in the EU, according to new polling by YouGov.
And more people would back a fresh referendum on Brexit than oppose holding a vote.
It marks a turnaround from the referendum two years ago, when 58% of North East voters backed Brexit.
Polling expert Peter Kellner, a former president of YouGov, said: “On the night of the Brexit referendum two years ago, the early results from the North East showed the strength of Leave support, especially in Labour’s northern heartlands.
YouGov’s new survey shows that a public vote today would produce a very different result. Instead of the crushing 16-point victory for the Leave campaign two years ago, the two sides are running neck-and-neck, with both on 50 per cent.”

According to sources the actual number of people who were polled who say they have changed their minds is politically insignificant..... so it is just another poll and definitely NOT fact.

Canburne-I agree. I’ve certainly never claimed it to be a fact. Only a fool would claim the results of a poll/s to be factual.
However, I do believe there’s truth behind the results and it’s enough to have worried some of the Brexiteer chiefs. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I see profpool is crayoning all over the thread again.
Peter North's blog provides more food for thought. I don't agree with him (he's a Brexiteer) but I can follow his argument. Yesterday's entry was interesting.

Hardly an argument being made though is there? Just a tirade of abuse including even name calling from a moderator..
Sums up the remain position. A perfect analogy in fact.
Tetchy, bitter, patronising, rude, hand wringing and snowflake.
