I confess I use start, run, charmap and then copy/paste it. Embarassed Sure there's a clever way of doing it though.

Or on the N95 it's press and hold * until I get the "special" characters.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Managed to get my camera out before it got dark this afternoon (around 3.00pm. here! Crying or Very sad )

Here's a photo of my FBH - can someone identify the connector that needs to be removed to reset it together with tips on removing the connector without breaking it? photo here

Sorry forgot to take the photo, we had to go out to visit family today.

The connector you need to remove is the one on the right with black and purple wires in. On that connector you will see a slot in the plug on the right hand side, you can try to put the key in there to release the clip. If this doesn't work try a screwdriver. Once it unclips it is easy to pull out, so don't be pulling on the cables too hard. This didn't work for me so I used a screwdriver to push the clip in from the outside on the right hand side.

According to the instructions I read, you have to wait for car to go to sleep (i.e radio display goes off), then remove the power for a minimum of 30 seconds. I left it for a few minutes, then simply plug it back in again and next time it is cold it should start up.

No problem Countrywide - the main thing is that there's a photo on the thread now.

I'll have a go at removing the connector in daylight tomorrow. Many thanks Thumbs Up

Also check the fuse in the engine bay fuse box next to the battery. I would need to check the manual but I am sure it is either 28 or 29 and it is a 20A fuse.

When you say check, I presume you mean remove it and reseat it rather than check to see if it's blown. Sorry to be thick, but I assume that this fuse doesn't only protect the FBH does it?

I arrived home in mine last night having driven just over 2 miles. When I got out there was a bit of noise from under the bonnet and gases (unidentified) coming out of the front grill Question So I guess my FBH is working!
