Calor Lite cylinders
Just read an article that says Calor are to phase out the Calor Lite 6kg bottles as demand isnt there. This will be a pain, as by usuing the "Lite" bottles is the only way I can keep my nosewieght down to anything close to 100kg.
It sys that when you go to exchange you'll get a standard bottle in exchange.

Would the BP Gaslight bottle work? I think you might need a different connector. There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

The recall has ended - Calor are saying its down to low demand, and standard 6kg propane demand has increased

Low demand would probably be due to the fact that the Calor lite 6kg refills were a lot more expensive than the normal cylinders 6kg refill

I don't know where I got this from but I thought it was because the Lite cylinders were proving insufficiently durable - something about the difficulty and expense of removing dents etc.

Go Outdoors is usually cheapest but rarely have stock. Calor centre usually has stock (expect during summer ) but costs the most.

Hi,
Bare in mind that Go Outdoors will also beat an advertised price, so worth a quick check on tinternet for cheapest price before you go if you buy from them

Find a friendly LPG supplier who will fill your old bottles for ya and only charge what you have, so you can top up half empty bottles too, about £9 for a full fill last time my lite ones were refilled

Calor are no longer doing the lite, a new light bottle will be out in 2018 looks like it will be made of some kind of plastic, our local dealer has no lite in stock and will not be getting any more.
