I was told it will be out no later than 2010 but my inside info may be wrong.
Close - one will be a lot earlier than the other And it all depends on whether Ford engines still power LR's Disco 5 HSE Lux

Im not sure who makes the engines but as far as im aware there still running the Siemens system ecus so they must be jaguar related somewhere along the line from what i can work out.
I know the engines have just come of the test dyno for rework

They're all Ford built - the 4.4 won't be built this side of the pond though Disco 5 HSE Lux

There is a contractual prerequisite for Ford to supply engines to whoever buys the brands. Ford will tie in a term of 5+ years I suspect. If you think about it neither Tata, M&M or One Equity will be in a position to supply a better or even compatible engine off the cuff 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Well they're hardly going to try and sell when they have had a terrible year. They need to get a good price after all! I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I know this question keeps getting asked but has anyone any updated information on when the 3.0 version of the TDV6 2.7 will be released. I am thinking of ordering a new disco 3 and would hate to order one than straight away the new engine comes out. Also would like to know if the landrover sat nav is any good in the Australian bush i.e. shows dirt roads etc. Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!
MY 8.5 Izmir Blue HSE Disco 3, ARB Bullbar, IPF HID spot lights, GME TX3440 all in mic UHF, Tripple batteries (2 x Yellow top aux under bonnet), Prodigy brake control, tinted widows, ARB compressor (under bonnet), Prem sound, Prem Nav, Electronic steering column, Adaptive lights, Center fridge, Active diff, Hybrid TV, Side moulds.
