Maybe not record selling ...but Discovery 5 sales are 8% up on January 2017 ...and more notably it's current volumes are on par with or above D4 Fiscal YTD sales in Jan 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16.

Aren't you the guy who spent all last year using all our time trying to talk up the D5? And then you are so happy with it, you dumped it for a Velar?
Most of us, were smart enough to let the market evaluate the D5 first and the feedback is in, its a Turkey.
The D5 needs some balls, it's just a sissy wagon for inner city Climate change believers.
I can't find any articles about how the D5 is smashing sales records?
Yes traded it in for a Velar because I spend 90% of the time in it on my own. And if you read my thread you’ll see I had issues with car which I shared on here. I don’t need a car with balls to be a man

January 2017? Wasn’t that half way through the period where the production line was down and series production of the 5 hadn’t yet begun? 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

J77, you are the one who "can't take light hearted banter"! Always calling obsessed (your favourite word) whoever dares to criticize the D5 in anyway.
If you "spend 90% of your time on your own", you should buy a motorbike and not a Velar!
You told Tripe to "go out more", with contempt...well, you got the answer you deserved mate!

Its like any new model really, no one likes it, but over time it grows on people.
I hated it initially, but the more I see (especially in some trim levels and colours) the more I thinks its actually OK.
I am just £70k short

I know I know, I am a sheep!
Jusy feelings on the matter.
Just to clear though, I would MUCH rather have a D4.

How many are 'real sales' though and not figures manipulated by pre-registered examples.
LR Approved currently showing 456 D5's for sale, that's a lot of 2nd hand cars for a model not quite a year old
I'm not a serial D5 basher by the way, apart from the over fussy rear end I think it's a nice looking vehicle. I'm just struggling with the cost to change being in excess of £35k to 'upgrade' from my 2015 D4 Discovery 4 HSE

Ramraiders favourite that rear end of a D5.
After each ram raid you could park it up and no-one would be the wiser.

One of the 456 will be mine.
