Lot more RRS2s around here which should be rich hunting grounds for the D5. I’ve got one D5 in the immediate vacinity. Also noticed an increase in Q7s & XC90s.

Of course there are a number of people who were on here who have already upgraded to the D5 but don't want to mention it as all they would get is the baying mob

I see way more RRS2's and XC90's than I do D5's. I've also seen a lot of new V70's recently. Nice looking estate.
Price wise, I'm guessing there can't be much in it between a decent spec. 3.0 D5 and low spec. 3.0 RRS2. If you don't need the 7 seats and superior off road ability. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

The off road ability is basically the same, just as it was with the D3/D4/RRS.
The RRS2's on road ability is better than the D5's just as the RRS1 was better on road than the D3/D4. 8)
Basically, if you want a bus, buy the D5, otherwise buy the RRS and enjoy a nicer driver, nicer interior, the possibility of superior performance with a greater engine choice and all of the off road ability. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Of course that's nothing to do with the fact that both of those models were released in 2014 eh ? A three year head start on the D5

Correct, nothing to do with that. I was referring to those on 17, 67 and 18 plates. There’s loads of D4’s around here on the earlier plates.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Crikey 39 pages of this stuff!
The Actual numbers shipped which have been posted elsewhere show that it selling fairly well.
The Discovery has never sold in the same numbers as Volvo's, so why start using that argument now?
Anyway let's see if this can become the longest thread ever!

The XC90 didn’t take off around here before 66 plate, there’s loads of 17 and 67 plates about now.
RRS2’s have always been popular, but again there’s loads of 17 and 67 plates around here.
Perhaps the surge coincided with the demise of the superb D4. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Proportionally I see far more Bentayga's around here than D5, RRS, FFRR ....local saturation vs reality of sales.
