Ah coil packs. Something us diesel drinkers don't have to worry about.

A log burner owner on fb was taking the mickey out of how much we spend on fuel, soon shut up when I said its better to spend it on fuel than mending it.==================================

With all the FBH talk, I have been looking and I know the 4.4V8 Vogue had an FBH option, so there are petrol FBH out there.
It is just if IID could be used on a D3 V8 in order to get it working. I must admin the thought of a toasty cabin is appealing 05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

^^ I think you need to have a lie down Have you seen the issues that these FBH have. Just start it up a few minutes before you need to go out, or put the heated seats on

I’m waiting for my V8 aux belts, pulleys and tensioners kit from Rimmer Bros and AF. Changing just the belts would have been cheaper but thought it would be prudent to change the other parts as well since they’re certainly originals. Going to do them and change spark plugs still before Xmas. I don’t have any DTCs from the plugs but as they were to be changed at roughly 168000 km and that’s a while ago, something the previous owner must have “forgot”
ARB bushes and stabilizer links then after that... some clunking in the rear every now and then. I need to get it to pass inspection (you U.K. types call it MOT) before middle of February.

Out in Budapest at prest and quite surprised to see 2 D4 5.0 V8s in the pound of the US embassy with diplomatic plates, and as the numbers were concecutive to the yank 4x4s etc parked along side would they are US vehicles.==================================

I have had the plugs replaced at 93k miles and noticed one or two were completely finitoo, believe they have not been replaced before.
Also now bushes are on my to do list as i started hearing a very quiet whiny noise when driving over humps, just waiting for it to get little worse so i can figure out which bush it is!!2005 D3 V8 SE

How much for all the pulleys etc? I am going to get mine done next year with the plugs, as they are getting quite loud on startup.05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey
