Sorry not something I've had to worry about yet.
I would have thought an external leak would have left some traces.
Assuming you have no smoke on initial start up. All manufacturers will have acceptable oil usage levels.

Getting there!
Well now off the axle stands, gear box bench tested no issues and new torque converter hoping for the best. Cautious optimism as it drives well. Suspension appears to work…..Just purrs with exhausts back on. Belts and service next. In someways I was mildly disappointed that we did not get around to body on engine out. However thrilled it’s nearly there

Getting there on badged OVERFINCH L319
Just about to change belts and complete brake overhaul, it just purrs! Will fit back bumpers, body trims and under trays soon in anticipation of an MOT. Tartarini LPG fitted
I should have asked before but does anyone on here know anything of this vehicle and it’s history? Likely to be from York area. It’s badged as an Overfinch it does not have any discernible differences to our other. V8’s. Any help appreciated.

How many miles are you pushing now? The only thing that worries me is the prop shaft is starting to get a bit loud?
Standard brake light failure switch last week, other than that, touch wood, trouble free.05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

Failed inspection for the first time ever, inner track rods had play.
I had not noticed anything though. I got 30 days to rectify the problem and take it back to be re-inspected.
Everything else good, equal brake force on both sides of each axle, emissions perfect.

A bit under 280k km.
I think a prop shaft is a cheap component and relatively easy to change if you can get the car up on a lift.

Dont worry. My VW T5 had its MOT yesterday and as always advisories. Never had a clean MOT yet. I'm actually thinking of buying a MOT set of wheels tyres.
I dont run my tyres low changing them at around 3mm. Fronts are about half worn as noted in the VW health check. Yep thats what 9600miles does to tyres.
