I agree but the "official" word was that it would not fit.
While the marketing position about the a D3 outperforming the RRS is sort of understandable the reality is that the D3 is a fat tub of lard compared to the RRS - bigger, heavier, longer and less aerodynamic so a D3 with the same engine as a RRS will never be able to outperform a RRS.

Does the 4.4 TDV8 have the same dimensions as the 3.6? Now that would be a monster..

Pretty much the same weight/width/length/wheelbase as each other?
Im sure the giveaway is that Mike can use the bottom half of one car and drop on the top half of another.
In my eyes any extra weight the D3 may carry will be offset by the RRS sport having the ACE set up, plus of course the RRS will have the optional drug storage lockers

You do realise the RRS chassis is 5.5" shorter than the D3 with associated savings in weight (a couple of hundred kg) and shorter length. Also most RRS do not have ACE.
So no, a D3 body will not go straight onto a RRS chassis.

Or drop the 4.2 or 5.0 supercharged out of an RRS into a D3 V8 or a D4 V8...? ____

Mikey, the TDV8 is it a better engine than the petrol V8? i would though that is more straight forward to use the petrol V8 (since that is also on the production line) and maybe play with a supercharger.....
