Just sorted route out for tomorrow. Not monster miles but a nice bumble up to Honningsvåg via Havøysund.
There's the remains of some big WW2 gun batteries on the mainland south of Honnongsvåg, would be rude not to go and look at them again.

Morning campers, it’s a boooooooooooootiful day!! 8) View from breakie table.
Only thing that disturbed my gentle slumber was three texting me at 3:11am to say I was running low on data. Fear not RT18 followers, I’ve got plenty and it renews on the 4th. Plus I’ve got 12gb on the hotspot widget. Me run out of data? U lot don’t get that lucky!

Another one!! This time I got a pic. A positive local, being Swedish, hate to think how long it took to drive this far up from Switzerland? This was in Lakselv, maybe there is an Old Tractor Pulling Caravan convention somewhere?
And it’s warmer today, seen up to 23c when headed off, now down to 19c. Reindeer enjoying a day at the seaside.

Right, keep the noise down, schnooze time.
Just been watching a pod of 5 or 6 dolphin or porpoises in the fjord on the road to Havøysund, incl at least one junior. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!
In here, somewhere. I had the advantage of a small set of binos.

''Tis indeed. I've been parked up for what, 20 mins, and had one car go past to disturb the quiet. Booooooooootiful.

Fantastic weather for your trip!
Your earlier pic with tractor/caravan combo, cyclist, campervan, distant car plus yourself that must be classed as near gridlock in those parts! Stu

Just about, though I think the cyclist was a pacemaker for the tractor!! More about that tractor later.
Tucked up in Scandic Honningsvåg and will refresh my pallet then work on the pics.
Mandatory view of room.
And view out the window. Come back reindeer window hanging all is forgiven. I just hope this Costa captain is better than the last, or at least knows the difference between R and D!!!

OK, tractor chap gets his own post. He must think I’m stalking him. He’s covered some distance and will be turning left to go to North Cape.
Will watch out for him on the start of the long haul south, he’ll be there.

OK, pics for today. WORK IN PROG!!
Stopped to grab a pic of this old military truck. OK it's free coffee for MCs (I'm taking it that's he's a biker fan) but looking at what's in the middle of the windscreen of the truck, I hope he's not escalating his beheading!!
I wonder if the last question by a member of the crew was "what'll happen if I take this plug out?". Oops.
Bangin Toonz to get peeps in the mood, this was on the way back from Havøysund. Appologies for the lack of focus in some bits, I blame the camerman.
Pretty view in way to Havøysund with Dee looking all rugged. That's a fantastic road, from the E69 to Havøysund, thoroughly recommended. One of the best RT roads I've done.
Looks like the Forest of Dean's sheep are on their holibobs here.
Though this one feels lying at the side of the road doesn't expose his best side for phographs.
Wind farm at Arctic View
One of the tunnels on the E69. The one where I realised my normal specs were not where I thought they were and found it a bit dark in the tunnel.
Tunnels are very useful to show how rubbish the high beam is on my D4. The low beam is perfect but the design of the headlight means most of the additional light goes up. Obviously some overpaid engineer lost sight of the fact that the light is needed on the road, not to look at birds or monkeys in the trees.
Where I turn right not left. Not going to NC this trip, Scandic in Honningsvåg being my destination.
And piggin norra these floating hotels fairly dominate!!

Fantastic pictures Del, if they don't make people want to get out and explore I don't know what will
Hope all is well fella (And stays that way) The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
