And a few more pics.
The Sea Wolf in HavĆøysund. Now thatās got DĆødeligste Fangst written all over it.
View S towards the town from the wind farm.
Couple of great views heading back south.
And a couple of sweeeeet diddy fishing boats just wanting their pic taken.
And yes, the local Costa coffee is still here.

Fantastic pictures Del, if they don't make people want to get out and explore I don't know what will
Hope all is well fella (And stays that way)
Yep, doin good. Fantastic RT day today. The weather, the roads, the scenery and the quietness of it all. High point was watching that pod of dolphins or porpoises swimming up the fjord, that was fab.
Karasjok to HonningsvĆ„g via HavĆøysund is one drive that's difficult to beat.
And forgot to say that this (the wind farm) is the furthest I'll be heading north on this trip, it's just a whisker further N than the NC/HonningsvƄg junction.

And in arty mode.

Morning all, another day, another cruise ship!!
Just bimbling locally today, just down to Alta and around. Plus will try and find this elusive Turpitz museum, itās gotta be there.
Looks like your doing laps of the car-park or more likely started Glymse at breakie and making a second run at the breakfast buffet
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Second? Pah, that's just getting warmed up. Unfortunately this far north they've not heard of croissants and pan au chocs, plus it's slice bread off a loaf so no smuggling out elevenses and lunch today. Might have to buy some.

Binned hotel, wild CVing it tonight. Sticky Rib Pit Nood for scoff. Itās stopped raining so all is well with the world.
Will bung up pics & annotate later.
Pretty self explicit. Looks like theyāve cleaned it up a bit as it was getting covered in stickers. The sign, not my car.
Pretty dramatic road from HonningsvƄg south, plenty of cliffs for the trolls to hide in, and a few tunnels.
At the Store Korsnes WW2 gun battery site, just N of Alta and protecting the approaches, pos for when Turpitz was there. Plenty of discussion https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=170054 re the site, and yes there were 18 bolts, I counted them. They seemed quite excited about this, weird these internet types.
And this little beauty was prowling round the site, just in case anyone else fancied invading.
Memorial in KĆ„fjord church yard to the RN submariners that tried to sink the Turpitz there.
And for balance, to the German soldiers and sailors that were killed by allied attackās, ending in the Lancaster raids that turned her over near Tromso. As seen in a RT a few years ago.
Lots of angry mountains, and rain. Itās not meant to rain!!!
And no sign of our Swiss tractor & caravan combo. I expect Iāll pass them tomorrow. Most exotic up to today had been from one from Malta, a car from Georgia, but today trumps those for distance, 3 cars from China!! And I thought I was a long way from home.

Isn't look as bad as that in reality, full gas can helps stability. And for once I can't blame the horizon in the pic. That's pretty good, well for me!
Think it may have been a football reference as England are playing Columbia tonight LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Bed time, first time using the D4 on a RT as a camper-van. Obviously space & shape are the same, but Iāve got the LoadLugga above my head so just have to remember that when the trolls come out to play!! Plus the grab handles on the D3 front seats made it a lot easier to get in to the back, theyāre gone and I almost fell back out the car on first try.
Half inflated thermarest, foam mattress, 2 bags & pillow and itās as comfy as a comfy thing.
Might turn off the fridge if it gets too noisy but the car is good at insulating out the traffic noise.
Havenāt decided where Iāll end up tomorrow. Iāve got a hotel booked in Harstad or could go to Batterie Dietl instead & wild camp. Harstad is where Dark Bluie was scrapped, almost a year ago.
