About 45, 000 miles.
Purchased new December 2004.
Issues so far:
Suspension leak
Front suspension collapse. Rough ride!
Brake pads needed replacing - lots.
Brake lights stopped working.
Sat nav. blanked out and wouldn't operate.
Phone broke.
Rear wiper jammed.
Fuse blown - front and rear washers broken.
Transmission fault - recovered by LRA and sorted.
All painlessly and efficiently resolved. She works like a dream - most of the time - and is still by far the best car.... in the world. 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7
2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE G4 Challenge (1 of 68)
2023 Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE

13 Months old and covered 14,500 miles.
Faults:-
EPB squeaks now and again.
That is all.
Always been lucky with car reliability, had an early Alfa 156 V6 for 2 years and it never went wrong once.

16 months, 43000km
in no particular order
wheel brace broke after changing 1 wheel lucky my brother had the right size for the other(warranty)
glove box light switch failed (warranty)
minor paint defect, dealer repaired
cruise control switches failed and replaced (warranty)
steering wheel airbag distorting, replaced (warranty)
arm rest x2 replaced (warranty)
entire upper glove box frame replaced due to poor hinges (warranty)
rear tailgate seal replaced (warranty) still lets in copious amounts of dust and is still on the to do list
memory seat module reset numerous times and eventually replaced (warranty) still doesn't work and is also on the to do list.
driver side button for electric seat adjustment fell off, replaced as other lost when door was opened (warranty)
four wheel alignment as per TSB (warranty)
rear aircon initially diagnosed as out of balance fan but apparently it is now acceptable. on the to be watched list
growing cack in D pillar, possible paint seperation from sealant. still to be advised by LR
dicky bonnet switch (eventually rectified by myself after dealer failed to sort properly)
cowling under windscreen wipers is disintegrating, possibly not uv stabilised. waiting for dealer to get back to me.
aircon starting to fart.
broken cup holder replaced foc by dealer
radio failed to work on several occasions as well as gearbox and suspension errors although (apparently) the D3 has never logged a single fault code.
estimated travell to dealers, about 8000kms at a rough cost of $2500 to get free warranty work done and taking about 16 days of my life in the process.
would I buy another. hmmmm.........................
permagrin can been seen but is waning
I have spent more time at the dealers (ecluding the travel and overnight stays ) with this vehicle than I have with all my other vehicles combined over 24 yrs.
also LR your mudflaps are aswell as the towhitch and some of the settings can be deAmericanised for other parts of the world. not everyone will sue you for their own stupidity.

Sounds like my ex-HA D3 is built of sturner stuff than most then!!!
Just had a main light bulb go last night, pleased to say its easier to change than my TD5 Commercial, of course was a numbty and only went and changed the wroung bulb...put everything back in place and hey presto...had to start all over again only to find that some HA techician had forced the bulb end into the fitting and cracked the plastic shrowd....amazing what you can do with a bit of insulation tape on a Sat afternoon in the rain!!!

3 years and 1 month old, 90,000 miles. Still looks new, very pleased with durability of paint and trim considering the use it gets. Interior is still mint.
Had a few early electronic generated suspension hiccups, resulting in one recovery to dealer.
The Park Brake has been a right royal pain all along, BUT it seems to be working fine now after my dealer gave it a thorough overhaul.
Anti roll bar bushes, lower front wishbones, steering components, all replaced to cure knocking.
Seat base (drivers) replaced.
Tail Gate strut failed
Load space cover disintegrated
Ignition key died.
And the usual early car blues of coolant bottle, bonnet warning sensor.
Its not a perfect record, but I still would not change it for anything else but another Discovery 3. Its one hell of a good car

Thirteen months and about 11,500 miles. It sat in my garage so long last month, that the battery went dead and I had to recharge it.
Only problem was coolant overflow reservoir replaced under warranty.
Seeing some of the mileages run, I'm optimistic about reliability in the future, and I still note that most of the problems were/are with the earlier models.
Next year I'll be taking some long trips in very extreme conditions, so that will tell the tale for me. 8)
The LR3 is a real joy to own, and I'm very happy with my choice in vehicles. '06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package

15k since buying new in March '07. Best car I have ever owned and the first one where I haven't been going back to the stealers every few weeks for nigglig warranty problems. Minor problems - noisy windscreen wipers and baggy passenger seat base - both fixed under warranty. Averaging 29mpg overall and did 35mpg, yesterday on a 50 mile round trip to Bridlington and back! Knocks the previous (3) D2's into a cocked hat. I was taught to be cautious.
