It wouldn't be a land rover unless you got wet inside it....

Is it the same for the D3
Is this procedure and the location of drains the same or similar for a D3?Now gone - D3 Zambezi silver. Smoked / limo windows, various LEDs, DVD in headrest screens. Side steps, GG AT's, software and Bluetooth upgrades by Bodsy.

Yes the drains are in the same place but the passenger side is difficult to get to as there is no vent to give access.
You can feel where it is with the wheel arch liner out but to see it as in the photo you would need to take the wing off.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

On a D3 you can get access to the non-vent side by loosening the wheel bay liner and partly removing the arch trim. That'll give you enough access to get your arm up behind the wing and feel for the drain outlet.
It is tricky but achievable.
Be warned if you try this, as soon as you poke a hole in the drain outlet, you'll get a very wet arm. Mods:

Is it not possible to poke something down it from the sunroof end or blow air through it?Now gone - D3 Zambezi silver. Smoked / limo windows, various LEDs, DVD in headrest screens. Side steps, GG AT's, software and Bluetooth upgrades by Bodsy.

Don’t use to much force as you may pull/push the pipe off the connector at the top, make sure the wire is not sharp pointed as the original pipe is thin walled rubber type and can deteriorate with age.It can when others can't,

I've used a strimmer nylon cord before but the outlet end is a 90 degree bend and no amount of prodding from the sunroof end will clear the very bit where the problem is likely to be.
It's not meant to be so easy. Mods:

How is the wheel arch trim attached, is it some form of clips or screws? Now gone - D3 Zambezi silver. Smoked / limo windows, various LEDs, DVD in headrest screens. Side steps, GG AT's, software and Bluetooth upgrades by Bodsy.

The wheel arch liner is held on with plastic clips.
They are in two parts and you have to prise the middle out to release the clip.
The rear drains exit down the B pillar but rarely seem to give problems.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

I was asking about the rears as my nearside rear passenger seat belt gets wet when it rains sometimes, would the rear drains have anything to do with this? Now gone - D3 Zambezi silver. Ive just been out to the car to check for leaks around the pollen filter, all dry.
What i have got though is a very wet nearside C pillar and a wet A pillar at the top, any ideas what could be the issue?
