Thule Backpac fit Discovery 3?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Thule Backpac 973 Bike carrier fits the discovery 3?

It looks like it will as it is shown on the rear of people carriers/vw transporters but would appreciate if anyone has experience with them.

FYI when fitted I know the boot is inaccessible. This is fine as we plan to be using all 7 seats inside and not using the boot while travelling.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I wanted to ask the group as I’ve found that land rovers (all models) don’t seem to turn up in any of the Thule compatibility guides I’ve found so not sure if they are included in vehicles tested for continental Europe products. I’m wondering if maybe land rovers are just not such big selling cars in the markets Thule prioritise.

So just wondered if anyone had a backpac and had tried it on their discovery with any success?

Can’t answer on the specific model but have a mate selling a Euroclassic 3+1 (Thule) that he used on his D3 if that’s any use?
