My hands are sweating watching it!
I went up to the top of the Eiffel tower last week. That was scary enough. The worst bit is when the lift rises from the second stage. Gave me the wobbles. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Taken from level 118, it’s 546 meters down from here.
...but imagine having overhangs and no safety gear like Fred
Could you put a date on that DG ?The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Being honest, who could climb the chimney Fred did if it was offered as a challenge for nice lump of cash?
No ropes as he did it. Just thinking about makes me squirm! And experience tells me its a lot more awkward going down than up.
Great video.

Spent a number of years rigging antennas on various masts around the UK and Europe.
On one job we had a guy spectating on the ground and the ground crew told us over the radio he was throwing up and asking us to stop, at the time I was hanging off the mast slightly inverted with my feet about 45 degrees above my head connecting an antenna. We never did find out why he was watching us if it made him that bad"Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

Am I mistaken in thinking the power would be off when folks are up there working on the antennae?
So if this was unauthorised climb ... radiated nuts?.
