Cornering lights retro fitting to a MY11 with Xenons
Has anyone retro fitted cornering lights to a MY2011 Xenons? I have just (mistakenly) popped out one of the silver domes to see if there was any fittings only to get the blasted thing rattling around in my sealed headlight!! Does anyone know what parts and what is involved with doing this as I have just been in a friends D4 the other night and what a difference for low speed manoeuvring through tight spots they seem to make!

Ok if anyone is interested the bulb holders are LR010353 but there does not appear to be any connectors in the units so new question....does anyone know which pins need adding to the headlamp connector??? Also top tip those blasted chrome domes melt easily with a soldering iron!

I'm interested in doing this to my 2010 vehicle.
You can enable it in the CCF but that still needs the wiring to be right and the sense to be picked up from somewhere.
Would all the gubbins be there except a bulb and holder?Stew,
2010 D4 gone but I really loved it

There was a post last week by someone, cant find it at the moment, which suggested that the wires were already present in the harness plug for the cornering lamps. They acquired had AFS lamps which already have the cornering lamps in and it was plug in and edit CCF. You of course won't have the wires in the lamp itself but shouldn't be difficult to bring the wires from the bulb holder you have to the connector on the back of the lamp unit.
Don't forget that cornering lamps work differently depending on whether they are AFS headlights or not so if the ones you saw were AFS be prepared for less functionality. I have the wiring diagrams at home so will get the pin nos and wire colours for you later.

you are already wired for corner lights,
you have the positive which get feed from the CJB by mosat chip when enabled by Faultmate CCF modification.
the earth is on pin 16 for D4 upto 2014, then it is a common pin for the whole headlight, and pin 16 is redundant, in USA it is the power for the required side marked lights.
what year of headlights are you going to fit??FFRR SC 4.2

Hi Robbo, thank you for the info, at the moment I have put the lamp holders in to my MY2011 Xenon headlights but there is no connector or cable to connect it to the socket in the headlight so I intend to connect the lamp with a push on connector plus a new pin/ pins in the headlamp unit.
Or do I need to T it into an existing wire in the headlight unit?

The earth will be on pin 16 the positive will be on pin 4'so just wire up and ccf edit and good to goðŸ‘ðŸ‘FFRR SC 4.2
