Have all the earth points been checked, also if you have done the MOST loop check and the fault was still there, then it must be in Audio unit itself, as this is the first one in the loop serving the MOST circuit.

don't give up mate, I feel your pain - I have very similar issues, and have trawled the internet for a solution - mine is random but I am sure is the same
I have seen many similar problems on RR and Evoque forums - but no solutions

Thanks Flack. I have changed the audio unit and screen for later 2nd hand units and have had it working but the fault is the same.
I haven't personally checked all the earth points though. I will do that next. just need to work out where they all are so I can eliminate them one by one. any pointers?
Interestingly, when the indy put my chassis number into the system it comes up with the old model D4 and the wiring diagrams are different to what's actually installed on the car.1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

Checking earth points sounds like a good plan as mine gives a lot of "crackles"
Any suggestions where to look?2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

I have taken rear panel completely off. I can only see one earth point on rear pillar.

I believe that the red light on fibre optic wouldn’t show if the unit didn’t have power..? Can someone confirm?1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

thanks for sharing those pics they will be useful as I am planning to do the same, I just ordered the MOST loop kit today.
A few days ago I saw a link to a post which described how to remove that rear panel, but I can't find it now, has anybody got the link please?2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

Its quite easy, remove seat belt bolt and one screw behind a cover and it will come out enough to test the MOST cables. if you need to go further and remove like i have, then you will need tailgate open - remove tailgate cable/strap on drivers side, remove one bolt under flap between boot and tailgate and then remove tie down/lashing eye nearest tailgate. It then should pop off with a bit of a wriggle.1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

In meantime, i'm still at a loss. if anyone has an XXV close to Essex and is brave enough to let me swap modules between cars to test let me know.. long shot i know..
Otherwise, I don't know where to go next.
To re-cap:
As far as I'm aware I have six modules on my loop. HEAD UNIT with integral bluetooth(in dash) - Screen with integral nav(in dash) - premium AMP(behind rear panel) - DAB(behind rear panel) - TV/RSE(behind rear panel) - TV/RSE(under drivers seat)
All modules have been looped out one by one - no change.
All MOST cables have red light visible when removed from each module.
Main Battery and AUX battery both replaced
Both the head unit and Screen have been replaced with 2nd hand items. Both have been working with same fault present regardless if replacement part or original - my conclusion is these parts aren't my problem.
Steering wheel removed and connections cleaned and lubricated to rule out switch pack issue - all working and tested by indy
Full infotainment software delete and re-load with updates via indy using LR technical support. - fault still present.
No faults showing on IID either pending or confirmed.
Only questions remaining that I can think of?
1. Anything else(module wise) in the Infotainment loop hidden that I don't know about?
2. Loom issue?
Anyone got any other ideas or theories?1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

thanks for the info about trim removal, I am going to try to find time this week to start my investigations, I got the Most loop kit now from Amazon.
I will update on this thread anything I find but from all Ive read on here and elsewhere (and I have read a lot, its been ongoing for about a year or more) Im not optimistic.
Fingers crossed for you anyway. Please keep the info coming if you get anywhere.
Do you have any of the old modules still? If I dont get anywhere with the Most test I am thinking perhaps to try a replacement DAB unit next.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

been doing the MOST loop tests today - quick question, should the red light be flashing or constant when you disconnect the most plugs from the various modules? Mine is flashing.
I dont think I have had any joy. I ran a test with the DAB totally disconnected and looped out and I still had the dreaded loss of connection and audio for a few seconds after just a short drive.
After all Ive read I am starting to think there is an internal problem with some of the head units, and LR probably know about it but dont want to admit it.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey
