Johnny Oxford wrote:been doing the MOST loop tests today - quick question, should the red light be flashing or constant when you disconnect the most plugs from the various modules? Mine is flashing.
I dont think I have had any joy. I ran a test with the DAB totally disconnected and looped out and I still had the dreaded loss of connection and audio for a few seconds after just a short drive.
After all Ive read I am starting to think there is an internal problem with some of the head units, and LR probably know about it but dont want to admit it.

just came across these guys, about 45 mins from me, might give them a call if it worsens but I doubt they will be very cheap - TBH at the moment I can live with mine, but I have a feeling it may get worse and become unusable.

this is interesting - a Range Rover forum user in the US solved a similar problem - turned out to be a faulty key?

SOLVED IT!
It was the amp. replaced with a 2nd hand unit and all perfect and back to normal.
Lesson is that whilst you can loop it out of the system there is clearly something else needed from the amp to power up the Nav, RSE, Bluetooth and audio to make a difference. this maybe specific to the premium amp/meridian system but either way, just looping it out of the system didn't help or change anything.
Hope the experience helps others in the future. 1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

Yes. Would be nice to crack it open and see if the fault can be found/repaired as they are pretty expensive. I wouldn't know what I am looking at myself though. 1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch

would you mind posting a pic or part number from it, I think there are a few types, I do have similar problems so I may be tempted to buy one from a breakers if mine is the same as yours as it could be a common problem. Many thanks 2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

I would bet your amp is different to mine(I did post a picture of it previously). when I was researching them there are loads of different spec options. mine of course was the rare expensive one...
My advice is to take your panel off and check your part number on the sticker. its obvious and faces you - easy to see. it will be colour coded too. mine was yellow with Prem in the yellow box(premium).
Then search on Ebay using the part number and don't enter Land rover or discovery in the search field. mine was DX23-19C164-BA. this will also show items from Jaguar which are the same. I only had 3 to choose from which were correct. Other models seemed to be plentiful though and cheaper... 1974 S111 SWB 200di conversion, rag top, bronze green. Known as Munch
