My smart watch has stopped working and I went onto a forum, there were quite a few people on there with simular issues with watches and satnavs
Apparently the number of satellites has reduced and the ones still in use have been moved to give better coverage, some devices automatically recalibrate or can be done manually but cheaper ones or older ones cant be calibrated. I didnt look into it any further as I just used it as an excuse to buy a new watch.

Removed the Altox unit from the car, again, and stripped it down. Using a magnifying glass, I noticed the solder on pin 2 was not the same as the soldered joint on pins 1 & 3 on either side. Go the multi meter out and pin 2 was open circuit. A wee blob of solder and we are good to go!
Re fitted to car and all works well with no issues or faults!
Result but still no satellites connected.

As Del Boy would say, just wait a minute or two.
Another satellite will be round in a minute

Sending TRACKING1 to the Altox activates the GPS, TRACKING0 de-activates the GPS.
It changes the T0 to T1 in the 4th row of SETTINGS2
C3,2 P30,30 T1:10
I agree the app is a lot easier to use than text!
