Hi chaps,
Throttle body is on the list for the new year for the V8
The question is, what cleaner are people using in the UK? I know some say not to use carb cleaner as it can pit the butterfly although I don't see the difference here.
Throttle body cleaner is harder to come by in the UK
Any thoughts chaps?

If you see grey stuff painted in the edges its meant to be there.
Dont clean it off.
You could use petrol

Carb cleaner is fine. However it sounds like yours is clean. (assuming you've opened the butterfly).
Normally you may have a small build up around the butterfly on the throttle body (engine side). Like a tea stain. And also on the lip of the butterfly

Thanks chaps.
Not sure what mine is like yet, although I don't expect it to have been done in 15 years... MY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

If you can't get throttle body cleaner then brake cleaner or petrol will be fine. You just need to remove the gunk. Don't go mad on abrasives. PAGODA
