And why are you still contemplating it? SWMBO is correct. Sell it, pocket the upsell value and treat SWMBO with half of the profit. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Half the profit? Thought Mrs M didn’t do ostentatious.
Dominos and a bottle of Tesco Finest vino collapso? The latter assuming on offer.

Well that’s a real bummer.
Don’t think that would’ve happened if you bought that D4 you initially went into the dealer to look at.
After all, it has already been tried & tested, whereas the new Defender had not.
Not a good result for a returning customer to the LR brand.
As said above, sell it back to them and the 10k extra would make moving back to a D4 real cheap....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

When I ordered ours I planned for a fair degree of unreliablity but after 15.5months of the show of supplying the car, I just couldn't face it and now 100% glad that its now moved on.
I'm delighted with my 9yr XC70. Even more so after its been "Poled"

Sounds like SWMBO’s been talking to you lot!
Anyway, the kit wouldn’t fit in the Volvo so I took the Defender, now named Noddy by my girls.
I must say it’s been an easy trip so far. I’m currently in Troyes which is about half way to Milan. Noddy is a lovely car to drive and reminds me of my original D3. However, It’s not as comfortable as the Volvo, the tech interface isn’t as good, the headlights and main beam are poor vs the Volvo and the Meridian stereo is wanting but it’s growing on me.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!) Sold
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack
Prospeed ladder
Duratrac tyres
IID BT
BAS FBH control
That £10k is certainly looking attractive. SWMBO hates it and wants me to sell it.
Deffo need to do a trade-in.
SWMBO or Deafener though ? Hard choice..
Dean

Never threaten to ditch SWMBO, she may well take you up on it and that would cost a lot more than a Defender!

I’m coming up to first service in my D300. It’s been very reliable, only planned recall visit to dealer. I do agree with your comment that it reminds of an original D3!

21k in my Defender and no issues, is being returned next week for a new vehicle (company car scheme). No glitches even, very pleased with it, one of my fave cars. I've said all along its a D3 successor in reality
