Limped to next services, switched car off for reset and it sorted itself out. LR needs to instal Ctrl Alt Dlt on the centre consul.

Hopefully LR won’t come out with the usual “they all do that, sir” or “it’s a characteristic”.

I've said all along its a D3 successor in reality
I agree, until you get to the boot and tailgate.
Always been 'big enough' for me and I have the aftermarket mesh basket 'tray' parcel shelf rather than the poxy 'hammock' it comes with, which makes it really flexible in daily use (I have no use for seven seats other than maybe the odd airport run 1-2 times a year).
I would prefer an opening upwards tailgate, the D3/4 split better still but its not a big issue for me in either aesthetics or everyday use. The spare on the back is irrelevant whether there or slung underneath/inside other than the increase in overall length it makes to the vehicle.
I think my Jag' F-Type may be a 'one off' (I don't want to sell my E320 cab' Merc' either) and if so will definitely be replaced by another Defender 110

I wonder if that £10k offer was for when it hadn’t been driven away from the dealership/registered
Now it’s got a few miles on it and developed faults, I’m guessing the offer will be less.
Wish I’d ordered one myself now. Not much of a risk, chances of losing anything would be small and any gain is tax free. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

That was my thought too re the extra £10k valuation.
But if it’s turning out to be “lemon” then even getting the buying price back would be a bit of result....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

If this was your only car, you'd waited 6 months for it and you had nothing else to use for work/towing/whatever then maybe ... but this is a complete no-brainer as far as I can see.

Up to 100miles its still considered new. Mine at 134miles was acceptable (driven down to me). However the buying dealer transported it up to Coventry and then back down to the Portsmouth branch, where it sold (to avoid increasing mileage)

So if you can’t rely on it to complete a journey without throwing a warning message and someone is offering more than you paid for it I’d say you would be mad to keep it.

I’m currently in Troyes which is about half way to Milan.
Not sure the offer would be there when Moo gets back as it will a might high for delivery mileage. Unless it comes back on a yellow taxi.
