when i had mine back after sw13 it seemed to be "lazy" so i assumed adaptive memory needed refreshing, but having just had the patch to fix cold temp suspension settings warning/failure, its gone back to being very responsive?  any ideas. im not complaining but i did notice that consumption has improved to about 500 miles a tank up from 450 without any change in driving style ( no pre heater due to warmer weather?) TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue and still smiling

Took a trip to Gloucester today and the gearbox has returned to how I like it.  In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

A new TSB has been issued relating to the 'i' on the message centre
"After updating the instrument pack software using the worldwide diagnostic system (WDS), an 'I' may appear permanently on the message center.
Cause: A software incompatitibily issue exists between different levels of instrument pack and air suspension software which causes the information symbol ('I') to be displayed.
Action: When updating the instrument pack software, the air suspension software should also be updated to the latest level."
The TSB is LA413-002 issued 13/03/06

How do you use the pre-heater? I know I have one, but I've never used it... 2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

Basically if the outside temperature is below 8 degrees and the engine coolant temp is below 74 degrees (from memory) the FBH will start up to assist the warm up of the engine, cutting off once the vehicle reaches the setpoint.
There is a workaround on the earlier vehicles with the pre - heat and pre - cool timer in the settings menu which involves leaving the radio on, thereby keeping the IHU and CANBUS active, enabling the FBH and HEVACS systems to operate

Ooooops 
IHU = Integrated Head Unit - the 'radio'
CANBUS = Car Area Network bus - a communication system similar to a computer network
HEVACS = HEating, Ventilation & Airconditioning Control System
Sorry, get a bit carried away sometimes 
The reason the 'radio' is important is that it generates the master clock signals which get sent around the low & high speed CANBUS to control and integrate the various systems

below 4°C for it to come on with the engine, below 8°C for the timer (radio trick) pre-heat ISTR

mine definitely comes on below 8 degrees with the engine - maybe a firmware variation?
seem to remember yours doing the same at winch - fitting time?

I remember SONIC3D's coming on while we did the 'Elephant Footprints' in Boughrood... was cold but his engine should have been up to temp ??
