Thanks for letting me know, it's good when it works out like that (it doesn't always arrive that quickly, hence the 7 days message we give).

Cheers

Hi folks,

With winter here and plenty of cold starts, perhaps it's time to consider changing the oil that you use in your car.

Does your antifreeze need changing?
Is your gearshift okay when cold?
Do you need something to protect your car from the weather?

Let us know if you need any advice, we are here to help. You can call us on 01209 202944, email us at sales@opieoils.co.uk, or just ask here.

Cheers

Hi

Unfortunately, not from us. We don't know exactly what the Shell TF0753 is, so can't offer an alternative.

Hi Oilman,

Can you confirm that Castrol Syntrans B 75W is suitable for the D3 manual box, please?

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-69413-castrol-...boxes.aspx

It appears to meet ZF TE-ML 11 specification. BOT338 is what LR recommend but that is dealer only (obviously).

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve

According to what I can find, the standard Castrol BOT 338 is a 75w GL4, so there should be no issue in using the Syntrans B 75w instead of that.

Hi, wish i had read this last week + AF are doing a blinding deal on service parts, anyways enough of the moaning, i got the oil and filter at euro parts price not so bad, but have a question on oil types, Disco 3
2.7 TDi
55 plate
auto
103000 miles
so i have put in this time Shell Helix HX7 AF 5W-30 which i think is Full-Synth, which i think will be ok, but just wondering if now my engine has gone over the 100000 mark is it better to use a slightly thicker grade and semi-synth ?
