The instructions for the press button way have been published a number of times but as many members will know it only works on some seemingly later type models.

Tried to reset the indicator in my 56 plate, tried every thing. my car was registered sept 06, does this mean its a 07 model year? Do earlier disco's have 2 buttons below the milometer as mine only has one and some of the instuctions i have read refer to the lefthand trip button?
Also in some of the instructions it refers to if the service indicator is not programed it will not work, does this mean that the counter is not activated in the cluster, if it does why would you be trying to reset some thing thats not even activated or have i got the wrong end of the stick here.
BTW the car has been seviced by myself (mercedes benz tech for 12yrs), prefer it that way as i know whats been done, even being in the trade im having trouble to get it reset some how or by some one.
Any more news on the new gadget price, availability etc.

Hiya Steve 62
I don't recall there being two buttons.
I think that it just seems to work in some cars and not others, I know all 100% of manufactured cars have their parameters held in the CCF.
I suspect that it was simply a software enhancement that was added to later clusters and that the correlation to year is only therefore partially correct because earlier cars may well have had their packs changed for later ones.
With luck the CAN-MATE SRT item should be listed in our web shop by Monday. It will be under a new category called Blackbox BasicBits and have part number BCSRT its list price is 51.25 Euro
For manufacture we are still on schedule for before end of month as long as no supplier lets me down

Just a quick update note on this;
The Item is now listed on our web shop as promised,
It is on schedule for shipments to commence in about 10 days time (by 30th May)
We have done a demo video of it. Which thanks to suggestions from other members here we now stream directly.

Roel, thanks for your files, because of you, we found a bug today, and we always like finding something we can fix. By start of next week, you will be able to enable your own SII to play with too.

Hiya Baben, Yea, it is (Like your sig BTW)
Bit off topic but never mind. Hopefully someone will ask a question about the SRT soon enough to put it back
In this weeks usual Monday Morning meet, the guy i had working on the flashing stuff, was saying it would be like the end of next week before it was finished. However yesterday morning, i decided to take charge and to re organize things more in line with my kind of time frames.
I looked a bit more deeply into it, well although these days i delegate the tech tasks as one should, i am thankfully still quite the wiz on the tech stuff when and where needed. Anyway, I quickly found a raft of ways around difficulties and ways improve and speed up things.
Said guy got dismissed Well it's sad, no boss likes to do that, but like anyone in these times i just can't justify carrying anyone and this guy has had more rope than most would or should ever get. And as far as Bosses go, even he would tell you i am one of the fairest and nicest.
The new guy i put on the job this morning, tells me he sees no problem getting it finished by end of play tomorrow, and in fact today everyone has been particularly productive.
The bottom line is that the next upgrade should be ready a week earlier than expected

Its sad to hear that someone lost their job.
But then its great to hear that you have managed to speed up the process
Tell you what, if you fire 4 or 5 more guys, don't you think they might get the job done within the next 5 minutes ?
Sorry mate, that was crass, but I couldn't help myself
