Your D3 is a 2007 model from your profile (i.e. under warranty) so if they're saggy or wrinkled (a fairly common problem on the front D3 cloth seats), the dealership will normally replace them under warranty (or at least here in Spain they do).
I had mine replaced 2 months ago (together with a new electric seat base to stop the seat dropping) and the result has been fantastic - the new bases are much firmer, have more side support and 'feel' far superior to the previous ones.
Have a chat with your dealer and complain about the seat bases and see what they say.

4 allen bolts per base - easy peasy, unless you strip the head on one of them like i did and then end up drilling the sod out....

The time needed for this would be about 3 hours according to my dealer.
The actual 'cushion' is only about £20 from TLOSOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

@ craig, do the 4 allen bolts hold the seat to the rails? Is this a full seat removal from D3 job? Where are these bolts?16 D4 Landmark

If you are still under warranty:
It is a problem with the seat base so if you DIY make sure you replace with the revised design.
Land Rover GTR Technical Service Bulletin No.LA501-031 issued on 02 October 2006 refers.
Quote:
A customer may report a concern that the cloth cover of one or both of the front seats has become baggy and creased across the center portion towards the back of the seat cushion.
Cause: The seat cushion cover is secured to the cushion foam by two rows of securing rings on the first and second panels, but in order to accommodate the seat heater mat, none are installed at the rear of the cushion, which can lead to the above complaint. A revised cushion design incorporating a different seat heater mat (where installed) allows the cover to be secured to the cushion in the critical area.
Action: Should a customer express concern regarding the above, refer to the Service Procedure detailed in this bulletin to renew both front seat cushion covers.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Would seat base be covered by TSB on a 2005 model - or should I have found this out 2 years ago?

It was covered. But being out of warranty LR may say no.
If you usea dealer for service there is good chance they will try to get LR to fix.
Still worth asking, they can only say no.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Removal is easy - look under the rear of the base through the rear door and you will find 2 silver flat headed torque screws. Then around the front and there is a pair going up through the curved brace. these are a bit more awkward! You will need to unclip (but not disconnect) a couple of wires and be carefull as these are conected to the airbags etc
Undo these and the base will lift out - job done

Sorry just seen this post
The four allen bolts hold the seat base to the seat frame. See here
However, i was adding heated seat elements, so had to take the whole seat out - which once the plastic caps covering the slide running gear is removed, is just 4 allen bolts as well.

I managed to f#&k up one torque bolt pattern with too bad quality torx tool, so i think next i need to remove whole seat and possibly drill bolt away. (i know i am such a master when i can do this with torx)
Which bolts should i take off to remove the seat? I see 4 bolts in top of each rails, are they the right ones? Should i also disconnect battery to avoid airbag explosion?
