I have a TDV6 S and I cannot access the SETTINGS menu. Is this trim level dependant (manual gives no clue or *) or are the instructions in the manual wrong.
Thanks

Hi,
I had the same problem
I think the manual is wrong
I can acces my settings when the engine is not turning and then press the computer button for several times until the settings menu appears.
Contact key in pos 2

mmm... no joy trying that. Is your S standard or do you have the Sat Nav system ?
Pressed the Info button repeatedly but all it does is cycle through the trip displays.

You have to be at a standstill, and engine can be running if you wish. With the info display blank, the next press acceses the SETTINGS menu. Well it does on mine, but its an HSE.

I think this is where my issue lies... I have an S and I think the Settings Menu is trim specific or at least not available if you have the standard S spec vehicle - i.e no Sat Nav etc.
Bernard though seems to have access to it ??

mmm... I may email LR and see what they say then. My dealer is also stumped as to why this won't work.

I've got an S and I can access settings - just press the i button. I think it probably only appears when stationary, though I haven't checked.
Maybe your car thinks it is moving all the time.
good luck with it.

nah... tried at stop with engine off, engine running etc etc. I can press the 'i' as many times as I want and all it does it cycle through the trip info.
Will speak to the dealer again... maybe your car has newer software or maybe the feature is turned off and the dealer can use their kit to switch it back on.

Apparently this option may not be enabled according to LR Advice (emailed them). And apparently my dealer can upgrade the software and have it enabled as it should be ??
Will call them Monday to find out.

Booked in for surgery next week.
Hopefully I will get the Settings Menu to appear and be able to lock my doors as I drive off... hate driving in London when I'm down with unlocked doors !

On my HSE, it works with the engine running (normally at a standstill but I'm sure on some ocassions when moving) & it is just a case of sort presses on the stalk end & it sequences through the trip computer settings, blank & then into the Settings Menu! - but definitely not as per the Handbook (what a surprise!)
